About Us

The Circle of Friends are community based, volunteer, fundraising groups supporting the Children’s Medical Center Foundation. Our mission is to raise awareness and money for the Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas. This brand new, state of the art, hospital just opened its doors exactly one year ago, replacing the old Children’s Hospital. Dell Children’s is a pediatric hospital, strictly dedicated to all children in our 46 county area, regardless of their ability to pay. We turn away no child. The Circle of Friends volunteers have been an integral part of the fundraising efforts for the hospital, raising over 1 and ½ million dollars since they began in 1997.

Now that the doors to Dell Children’s Medical Center have been opened, our work is just beginning! Most importantly are the programs never before offered that will now be available here in Austin. These Centers of Excellence will be the cornerstone for the treatment of all children in our area. With these programs have come nationally recognized specialists that have chosen Austin not only for this amazing facility but more importantly for the needs of our children.
